Fixed Asset Depreciation Templates

Depreciation templates are used when creating an FA card and running a Calculate Depreciation batch job.

  1. Click Search to open Search, enter Depreciation Templates, follow the link.
  2. On the Depreciation Templates page, click New to create a new template.
  3. Fill in all required fields:
Field Description
Depreciation Book Code Indicate the depreciation book code for the template being created.
FA Class Code Indicate the FA class code for the template being created.
FA Subclass Code Indicate the FA subclass code for the template being created.
FA Posting Group Indicate the FA Posting Group for the selected depreciation book and FA class, subclass of the template being created.
Depreciation Method Indicate the depreciation method for the template being created.
Straight-Line % Indicates the annual depreciation percentage for linear depreciation method.
No. of Depreciation Years Indicates the length of the depreciation period in years.
No. of Depreciation Months Indicates the length of the depreciation period in months. Is filled out automatically when the Number of depreciation years field is filled out.
Fixed Depr. Amount Determines the fixed annual depreciation amount.
Declining-Balance % Indicates the fixed annual depreciation percentage for the residual value reduction method.
Depreciation Table Code Indicates the depreciation table code for the custom depreciation method.
Inventory Nos. Indicates the inventory number series for fixed assets.

For one depreciation ledger, multiple depreciation templates can be created.
